The Freedman laboratory is seeking a highly talented and motivated postdoctoral fellow to lead pioneering studies in organ regeneration and disease modeling in organoids. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. relevant to biological science, M.D., or M.D. Ph.D., or equivalent degree and will focus on modeling glomerular disease and regeneration in human kidney organoids derived from pluripotent stem cells. This is an exciting and emerging area of research with significant potential for fundamental discoveries and bench-to-beside impact. The candidate will design and evaluate experiments, actively contribute to the group through innovation and collaboration, present and publish research findings, and participate in Divisional and extramural scholarly activities. The ideal candidate will have a record of creativity and scientific excellence as evidenced by publication record in peer-reviewed journals, a high level of motivation and scientific curiosity along with excellent communication, collaboration, and technical skills.
